Hi Dub,

The way I see it, the fractional gold system/paper manipulation of gold collapses when enough people believe that gold is being manipulated and:

1. Demand physical possession of any gold stored for them in the banking system.

2. Are no longer satisfied having paper claims to physical gold, but instead want those paper claims converted into physical gold.

So that is why I found it very interesting that Hathaway was allowed to get his points across mainstream financial media, instead of being cut off.
