Most figures can be fudged to suit the supplier of figure, self serving.

Why produce a figure that will be detrimental to your own interest.
It will be a big surprise when disallowed crashes or housing bubble bursts. The media will purport, wow we didn't see that coming. Where are the shale lay offs hiding. For every one oil job 4 more are lost.
