I actually have picked up a few tips during forty years of being involved in Markets....they have been mainly gained the hard way.
The problem with ‘Doom’ Indicators is that they are easily constructed retrospectively. Horse racing tipsters are adept at selling ‘Systems ‘ based on retrospective analysis of data: to show how confident they are, they invite prospective ‘turf investors’ to check the data. Sure enough,if a horse has finished 6 th,4th then 2nd at its last three starts at Flemington carrying decreasing weight then that horse will win next start if it is racing at Caulfield.
Doom indicators are a little better, but not by much.....
Questionable crash indicator 'Hindenburg Omen' was triggered this week
Fred Imbert | @foimbert
- The "Hindenburg Omen" correctly called stock market crashes in 1987 and 2008, but has only been correct at predicting plunges about 30 percent of the time.
- The signal is still watched by traders and chart analysts for indicating signs of weakness ahead, but not necessarily a crash.

Please note the date...May 2017. No crash around that date so far as I know.
