Careful though as many of todays major gold miners are vastly different to those of their distant past. Unlike the past majors, todays do not carry debt (mostly all but positive cash flow), i know during a crisis that their is not much that can be done in the short term due to liquidity ect but i suspect that this time may be different with a wave of demand because of the rise and responsiveness from the etf products that did not exist to the extent today than traditionally in the past.
