The problem with can-kickers is eventually they run into the Hemingway problem.
There's a passage in Ernest Hemingway's novel, The Sun Also Rises, in which a character named Mike is asked how he went bankrupt. “Two ways,” he answers. “Gradually, then suddenly.”
How long before the average Japanese, with their national Trillion dollars in Forex reserves, spots the trend lines?
