I have an open question for the gold bugs:
If fiat currencies are inherently worthless because governments can print as much as they like, shouldn't the price of gold expressed in terms of those fiat currencies be meaningless?
Why should I care if the price of gold goes from $1700 to $1800 if the value of that $1800 is an illusion?
