I understand that oil exports through the straight of homuz will cease as they will likely sink a few oil tankers to block it.

I believe this is why Obama allowed the massively expanded gas and oil drilling in the US n May this year as to prepare for such an event.

The US also has massive reserves ready for such an occation.

A WWII scenario will wreak havock on the markets.
capital will freeze from the fear - USD may increase in strength massively innitially so commodities based in USD will be relatively cheaper.

Initially in a short run I think all markets and commodities will drop then oil will run up hard then with the inflation affect gold and silver.
