"'....so, you are basically betting against World Governments...'!"

Well sought of. Betting that governments of the world will leave no financial corruption and manipulation untested in desperate attempts to protect themselves and their corporate sponsors.

The US has a budget deficit over $1Trn that they have to print thin air money to fund...and no method under discussion or on the horizon to bring that deficit down in any meaningful way. Even and $80bn sequester caused all and sundry to have hissy fits...how are they going to take down $1Trn+ Meaning they will print and expand the balloon for evermore until....it goes bang. The only thing protecting them now is other countries doing the same some comparatively they haven't lost their safety characteristic.....except now countries doing trading deals with China, and others without the USD. Central banks buying gold hand over fist, States (Texas) and countries asking for their gold back (Germany, Venezuela).

The first cracks appearing in the USD as a safe haven, global reserve currency for when things go bad. They want to avoid the phase shift that will come from nowhere that is a loss of confidence in the USD....that will cause increasing dumping of the USD as a tool, and rapid inflation. So I gather the insane coordinated attack on Gold by the Fed is all about reseting gold lower, and protecting the USD.

The idea seems crazy, but when you have these guys talk about a Trillion dollar coin, no concern of printing an additional $1trn+ each year without a second thought....that is also crazy.

The real economic figures for Europe and the US have them in recession and sinking. There is no growth to reduce deficits...the opposite. The whole thing a mess, and no way out at all.

Wonder why people are looking at gold as an important diversification.
