I tried to bet $100, but it kept coming up with an error saying ''stakes too high''. I've never actually placed a bet.

I might have done something wrong but eventually it accepted a $43 bet.

I only deposited $100 into my account, perhaps you're not allowed to bet your entire account at once, I'm not really sure.

We'll see how it turns out.

Incidentally, I'm hoping they do raise rates, as I believe it will be better for gold in the medium to long run.
