Here's a vid that might answer some of the questions about what on earth is going on in the financial world:

You'll have to put aside any instinctive reaction against the Christianity element and marketing hype in the last 10 minutes. I skipped that bit. If you're prepared to do that and watch analytically, the historical facts, or Kenneth Storey's interpretation of them, are quite interesting.
