I looked at current top 20 as appeared recently on HC and compared it to the previous one.I realise that these persons are just as entitled as anyone else to trade their shares and they are not Directors. They may have done so for reasons that have nothing to do with the performance of BDR,e.g. a need to raise money to pay bills etc etc.It is none of my business and my comment should not be interpreted as criticism in any way.
I was merely speculating that sometimes its useful to"follow the money"i.e. the substantial shareholders.Of course that principle applied unthinkingly could at times be unwise.
It should be noted as well that the very large shareholders like Paradice have not altered their holding. When I described the holdings that were sold as"big",I wish to correct that.Compared to the holdings of Van Eck or Paradice the amount of shares"unloaded" was in effect quite modest and probabely signified nothing of importance to the rest of us.
