Someone on another thread (I think, can't remember where I read it) kindly pointed out they held MTS for the last year. 14% of stock on issue held short while the share price has made a tidy 100% return. Let's just say the shorters don't always get it right. Shorting can also be used for many things other than price discovery or profits from a falling stock.

As for the matter of BDR being 50% below all time highs. BDR wasn't even a producer in 2012. It is an irrelevant statistic.
