Alternatively, trade other markets commodities / currencies (including gold), directly. Ultimately, gold stocks are "derivative" of gold price. But not for the faint of heart....

Wombat, you're a trader. There are plenty of opportunities in Li outside of PLS and GXY. The majors are in the slow boring phase. If you look a little wider I guarantee a guy with your skills could earn some lunch money.
