I am so glad I didn't buy in Friday. We've all seen the London/ New York Friday smack down of Gold so often it haunts us and indeed has inflicted many long lasting scars. This scar tissue is called the School of Hard Knocks otherwise known as gaining knowledge. As quoted by others in previous posts, it's their toy and they only let us play with it for so long. Well just like the Trump card being played in US of A election, Golds day will come and the paper shorters will all scramble for the exit. IMO. Exiting BDR Monday will see the usual gap down at open so if you need to protect capital as you are maxed out, hope for a small gap and live to fight another day. For those that have bigger cash positions and are feeling calm and comfortable with the longer term gold story, support at 35 will not be that far away, and I say that with caution as support/ resistance levels have meant nothing in the previous week. It will be interesting to see how many capitulate. It will really tell the story of how much more success the short sellers will have. This may be the last flush of weak hands and it may involve some mopping up of those hands at below 35. I sound negative I know but this is the reality of the situation. Maybe my scars are why I'm presently 80% cash since August and have hedged with some diversified miners. My plan is to stay patient. Plenty of great posts by all with great links and info, thanks all.
I'll wrap it up with some words from Neil Young and a link to Chuck Butler's commentary. I like Chuck, he speaks honestly and has a great attitude for a guy battling health issues. http://www.dailypfennig.com/2016/11/10/just-happened/
Comes a Time Neil Young
Comes a time when you're driftin'
Comes a time when you settle down
Comes a light, feelin's liftin'
Lift that baby right up off the ground
Whoa, this old world keeps spinnin' round
It's a wonder tall trees ain't layin' down
There comes a time
You and I, we were captured
We took our souls and we flew away
We were right, we were giving
That's how we kept what we gave away
