I am very surprised no commentators are calling BS on the supposed progress being made on China/US trade talks These reports are driving down the POG.
Trump says he might extend the March 2 deadline which in itself shows it will be unresolved. The whole point of a deadline is you act upon it.
The elephant in the room is emerging 5G wireless technology which both the YS and China want to dominate. You can bet China is demanding US removal of sanctions against Chinese telecoms. The US will be looking to include provisions to allow further sanctions against Chinese telecoms.
I can't see any compromise and both sides are posturing talks are going well, so they can accuse each other of nad faith down the track. Once this become obvious POG should soar.
