I would respectfully disagree that printing money is negative for gold. I would say it is positive for gold which is a hedge against inflation (the excessive supply/ velocity of money).
But yes, there are a lot of places that people will use that cash , other than in gold, when they have loadsamoney.
When every man and his dog is buying and every pawnbroker has a sign wanting to buy your gold, that's the time to sell. Or not, depending on your investment needs.
