Not sure, but a good announcement has the potential to wipe out the sellers in one session, as we've seen before.
Coming off a stagnant base, where most that wanted out have seemingly given up and taken the hit, bad news could have little or no impact. Indicating what's hopefully/maybe a bottom (I say maybe, as no one ever knows).
