Commsec market depth data shows plenty of interest in KAU with 31 buyers for 1.4m shares and 19 sellers offering 800k.
there appears to be some resistance at 17.5c where 5 offers total 266k shares.
the strong buy side likely reflects the sensational runup in the spot price of gold over the past month or so, last quoted at A$3,635/oz.
the March quarterly is scheduled for issue by the end of the month.
KAU last up 1c or 6.5% at 16.5c.
