    For clarity: I love gold and I think we're heading for depression.

    BUT

    The gold price is not indicative of anything. The day fiat money collapses, gold will be priceless (literally). Until that day, you're sitting on an asset generating no returns. Which makes you either:
    a) prepared OR
    b) a sucker.
