From a security reference, they would be smelting almost daily. Large ingots are almost impossible to nick with metal detectors and the alike. Whereas nuggets are more easily concealed. The tweet was just the first pour after a 1 year stand down and I doubt they would have tried it out with a monster load just in case it failed.
