    plenty of places throughout Vic, however the "triangle" is the place to go imo. The greatest bonus up there is that it IS nuggety country, and although "every one seems to have been there", they are still plucking those large nuggets out though. Also the fact that the country is easier to work (flatter and cleaner)

    Leg work is the name of the game! Just keep walking slowly and keep that thing swinging.. :-)

    Got a nice peice in the Gippsland area some time back, however like many areas it is rough going and many parts overgrown, hence not good to detect. Have quite a few nuggets from the Dunolly, Marybourough areas as well.
    I use a minelab which in all accounts "seems to be the best around". (hasn't paid for itself yet..grrr)

    Was planning a trip to the "Glen Wills area" (SML), however a few days earlier SML hit the papers with lease details etc, so it was cancelled. Out of interest we were going to hit the "maude mine area" right where they are drilling now....lol..
