You maybe and probably are correct; However , without the original contract, the true contract , we do not know how it is worked and what the pay out is.
I do not think that a call option at forward gold price would work in favour of Red 5 at this point in time.

As to your point on WAF:
West African Resources Ltd is engaged in mineral exploration in Burkina Faso. It focuses on the development of the Sanbrado Gold Project. The Group's mineral portfolio also includes gold and copper-gold exploration permits in Burkina Faso. The operating segments of the Company that includes Mining Operations: comprise the Sanbrado Gold Project operation located in Burkina Faso.
I am not ready to invest in those areas of volatility from a macro stand point, have done so before and seen mines closed or locked out of production, that is a fact that can not be argued.

My original statement was based on Australian Gold Miners , recent capitol requirements and those Banks institutions providing funds to said Gold miners.
I agree 100% that hedging is a difficult bridge to cross and some miners may do it better than others ; However , none the less it must be crossed.
As for Risk, well that is something we all live with and it is risk we try to mitigate.
