was at Diggers and one of the presentations (can't remember which company) was commenting on how 'grade is king' is the old thinking, and that profit is king is the reality of running successful companies. No point producing high grade oz's at high AISC as it's a very risky business model...
as you've pointed out, i'd take an NPV increase of 25-30% over some higher grade oz's being found any day. Grade will get the headline, dollars in the bank will ensure long term success
