The HFT computers and shorters are trading the sp up and down like a bride's nightie to make profits.

Since 16 April 2020 (16 trading days ago when the price was a high of $1.83) GOR shares have been traded to a low of $1.525 in those same 16 trading days. A 30 cents (20 %) spread for such a great share, with an ever increasing pog, is testament to a company that does not value its shareholders highly by paying dividends. If you do not reward your shareholders with dividends the HFT computers and shorters will constantly take advantage of an undervalued sp.

Once you pay a dividend the investors will come as other organisations will not be paying dividends because of the significant downturn in the economy.. The shorters will be ousted and the HFT robot attacks will be silenced because the sp will be increasing and the large institutional investors will enter.
It would appear that the COVID 19 risk is easing in WA and therefore GOR has no point in saying they need to hold on to more cash.

The sp would be greater under a dividend paying scenario rather than paying down debt. After all how much spare cash will GOR have in 12 months time.Lots of spare cash sitting on your balance sheet makes you an attractive takeover target and by not paying a dividend you are decreasing the sp and therefore the takeover offer would be lower.
