Agreed Possum, the worse thing China could do would be is to made any deal that publicly revealed they were divesting dollars in favor of gold. The rush to the door from the dollar club would be a stampede.
I think China is way to savvy for that. A strong dollar protects their principle export market and they wont do anything to damage that.
Deals will be done and we wont hear of them until the ink is long dry.
