Don't forget a lot of juniors now have gold production sourced in third world countries whose currencies are not as strong in relative terms to the USD$ as the A$-unless repatriated. More bang for your buck to develop offshore assets although the depreciation of the US$ is yet another factor. Many mining stables are exclusively Africa focussed for that reason. There are few easy gold targets left in Australia anyway and many juniors are heading offshore - a trend that will accelerate. So you just can't focus the debate on the POG/A$ relationship when looking at junior explorers.
