gold sets more records ..., page-3

I've been an avid follower of this forum for some time now, the quality of posts is great as it allows a commodities novice like myself to make an informed investment decision.

Thus I have been bullish on gold due to the declining and much diluted USD and I'm heavily invested in gold stocks. However in the back of my mind there's always that old adage "careful what you wish for." Should the USD really collapse what's really going to happen?

Isn't this going to cause huge upheavals in the financial markets leading possibly to GFC2? If there is a GFC2 as a result of a collapsed USD I don't see gold shares rising out of the ashes like a phoenix. Gold yes, but not gold stocks. IMO investor confidence will once again be shaken.

As I said I'm no expert but no-one's addressed this to the end game.
