the Ancients gave us urban planning & water technologies. they gave us libraries & philosophy. they gave us agriculture & distribution networks. roads, medicines & pharmaceuticals. the Ancients gave us sports & commerce. and the Ancients gave us gold as a measure of uncompromised value for transactions between 2 parties. i think i will stick to the status quo & continue the time-honoured perception that gold = preservation of wealth.
