Well why wouldn't they want to promote that??? they own so many properties and it is in their best interests to attempt to try to prop up the market.

Yes you are correct that it would cause many bankruptcy's and that is what I see coming. Keep in mind that whatever happens in the US always happens here eventually when it comes to financial markets. The lag is about 3 years which is about now for Australia.
