I wonder if covid in India is actually bearish for gold. Old people, who typically were the hoarders of gold, are now dying in their thousands. Does this change the dynamic of the market as inheritors sell because they want to buy something they couldn’t have otherwise afforded OR because the remaining widows/widowers have to fund their living now that the household income has dropped dramatically. Sorry to be materialistic about such a tragic situation but it’s worth a thought.
