I think it’s a bit early days to be calling the Aachen process a surprising success. It’s demonstrated potential but a lot more test work has had to be performed which tells you it’s not all clear cut (though necessary works). I think what most people are annoyed at is why this process came in at the 11th hour of the DFS (almost an afterthought), and not looked at earlier. DFS is certainly needed to put all the met work issues to bed.
