Yo Parrot! I've got a good one too about the ethical behaviour of brokers.

Way back when there was a tiny gold stock called Helix which went ballistic in a November from about 12 cents to $4 by February....don't ask me when....it must be at least 20 years ago.

Anyway I was a contract Accountant at the time in a brokers office watching these guys call up retirees who owned BHP for yonks and recommending a switch to Helix. All this to earn brokerage. In the end, the brokers kept their jobs; made commissions for the Firm, while the retirees watched Helix fall back to 50 cents. I thought it was fraud at the time..........I still don't know how they sleep at night.
