EVG has licensed a new technology called 'Albion' from Xstrata that it has developed and patented extract sulphide gold.

EVG tested refactory ore using an Xstrata pilot plant in Brisbane.

EVG is now 1/2 way through building a gold plant in the Dominican Republic to extract ~500k oz of gold from this refactory ore.

This will be the first commercialization of the 'Albion' technology in the world.

I have been following BSM (and a past holder).

The cross over between what EVG is doing (a world first) and the similarities to BSM's gold tailings need to be closely monitored IMO.

If 'Albion' or another technique can extract the gold then it is a game changer for BSM in terms of valuation.

Albion involves oxidisation at low pressures and ultra fine grinding that sucks up large amounts of power. It needs a low cost of power to be commercially viable.
