The way I understand the RSPT, juniors/specs may be more attractive.
The RSPT is only levied once mines make a profit and AFTER they have paid for capex of project. And the govt pays for 40% of the project.
Goldies are/were risky without a RSPT; some of that (start-up) risk is mitigated with its introduction.
I'm no means an expert on this tax but from what I can understand it is aimed at the big boys and might eventually mean many more $$$ going into junior sector - once the dust settles and it becomes law.
