Argonaut Resources NL (ASX: ARE) is pleased to announce that recent gold exploration at Houai Khouay on the company’s Century tenement in Laos has returned an intercept of 24m at 25.5 g/t gold - including 8m at 71.8 g/t gold from trench HKTR121. This result is from the first two batches of assay results received from the current program. The other significant result from these initial samples is 4m at 8.12 g/t gold from trench HKTR112. The combination of: strong gold and pathfinder element geochemistry; an extensive and densely packed system of quartz veins; and a favourable, intrusive igneous setting, make the Houai Khouay gold prospect truly exciting. The company will commence reverse circulation drilling at the prospect later this month.
