Let's throw around some merger ideas again, as 1) MZ has stated further acquisitions remain on the cards, and 2) we're finally getting some market love so our script has purchasing power!
An acquisition or merger with scale to get us quickly to 300koz or 400koz to benefit from current high prices, with low or no capex:
DCN + RMS has been mentioned before: DCN is now cheaper than it was, its 150-170kozpa at still very nice margins for 8 years and extension potential is attractive. A merger would create a 400kozpa producer with proforma market cap of only $1b, compared with others in that league worth +3b... RMS could be in line to re-rate x3?!
Another thought, we pick up a tired top tier asset from one of the majors that can be turned around a la Pogo...
I'm half expecting another deal announced soon, perhaps when our SP has run a little further on the back of dividend and even higher gold price...
