Not while the banks are open and inflation is under control, you won't. I do see how small denomination PM coins would be useful if we ever had a "bank holiday" which is being rumoured in the US and in times of hyper-inflation your car dealer may even give discount for gold so his capital doesn't shrink while awaiting his next shipment of vehicles.
