You've missed Wolfie's big point. Don't expect Government to sell an ounce of gold for 250 US dollars. But do expect gold to be bought for that price, and NOT A CENT MORE. There are some who would like to say that all private owners of gold MUST sell their gold for 250 US dollars. That ALL GOLD gold ownership only belongs to Government, including gold producing mines. That way ALL CITIZENS will know that NOTHING can undermine the confidence of their currency. Gold ownership in preference to one's own currency is evil and unpatriotic - so Government must wage war against that.
