    Nice post champ2003.

    As stated in my original post I'm all for having SOME exposure to Au either directly or indirectly.

    Seems to me that some if not many have 'bet the farm' on Au going stratospheric, I'm afraid I don't share that view.

    Take for example the sell-off in the US on Friday, stocks, commodities and PM's, hammered . Largely in response to rising inflation in China (well above 4% at present) and it's impact by way of rising interest rates slowing Chinese growth. If as so many suggest that Au is the 'inflation beater' why is it sold off with such gusto as was the case Friday?

    As for a gold standard, that's simply a nonsense in my opinion and others far more qualified than myself it seems. On that note may I suggest if you haven't already, that you read 'The Goldwatcher' by John Katz & Frank Holmes. There's an interesting view on returning to a gold standard by two men who are perhaps better qualified than most opf the other crackpots out there?
