I was thinking that with a 200,000 ounce hedge at $NZ850 and the spot price at around $NZ1,850 this is a paper hit on the balance sheet of OGC of $NZ200 million.
Yet the operation can produce gold at a cash cost of around $NS850 to work through the hedge.
Hopefully the age of bankers is ending and normal people like miners, engineers, doctors and workers can get back to the production of goods + services.
