    A better way to phrase your question is: ‘Why is there additional demand for USD?’

    In my opinion, three reasons:

    1. Expectation of multiple interest rate rises over the next several years
    2. Repatriation of corporate profits & assets from overseas
    3. QT & rising deficits blowing out bond yields
