If you do some research you will find plenty to point to the fact that the gold is down deep and that the shaft that gave access to it needed to be made wider. That was done by mining the shaft, it took a lot of manpower and expense and because it was not really what they wanted to mine and there was little return from it..to put it simply they had to put in some hard yards..
They will be sitting pretty now..expect the SP to reflect their processing of the high yielding material which they has been their main target for years, the problem has always been getting to it..
