I think that I have a better idea. Instead of paying unemployment benefits you should provide the unemployed with $5,000.00 each plus a computer with a link to the gold thread in hotcopper and then tell them to trade in gold and gold related investments. In this way they all would become self-employed traders making a good fortune for themselves and their tutors, the gold bugs. And with so much money to be generated in this way for sure that government would soon recoup its original disbursement through taxes.
