    "Stage three is the ‘hangover’. This is where the government and central bank try to withdraw stimulus. At first, the markets may react positively. And why shouldn’t they? The economy has improved.
    But it soon becomes clear that the economy wasn’t on a self-sustaining recovery. The economy only appeared to be recovering because interest rates were low and the government or central bank were pouring billions into the economy.
    Once the stimulus fades, the apparent economic growth fades too. And a severe recession or even depression follows.
    The US economy is in stage three now. The US Federal Reserve is raising interest rates because they think the economy is improving. It isn’t."

    Interesting article. Either there are false hopes conjured up by Feds with the rate hike or genuine sustain recovery.
