I'm too much of a novice to be spruiking one way or another, but the questions you raise are what is also going through my head and I also think that stagflation looks like a probable near-term outcome.

I have tried to diversify as much as possible - utilities and reits, gold producers, more recently into crypto and energy and some others. I figure that there will be much volatility and I intend to trade in/out of these as hopefully one or more will be showing upside at any one point. I think crypto is here to stay in one form or another and explains gold's mediocre performance in the current environment, but I think it will also be volatile (and risky) for quite a few more years.

Pretty interested in what Lyn Alden has to say about things - she dumbs it down sufficiently for me to understand some parts.
