    Indeed. The amount of tapering is mostly immaterial. The macro case is lower rates for longer and whether they're tapering or not they're still net printing money. If rates rise it won't be by much. The market knows this so any pullback is just another re-entry opportunity. Note they associate tapering with the pandemic but we've had QE and a Japanifed economy for years.

    Classic case was last night, a sell off in gold due to confidence in equities (payrolls) and possible subsequent taper implications, which was promptly reversed with the reality this money printing bonanza has no signs of slowing. When I say confidence in equities I just mean yield chasing; not confidence per se.

    On an unrelated note I would also like to clarify my climate change comment previously. It has nothing to do with being anti-climate change. Most professionals estimate between 20 (very optimistic) and 50 years for a realistic clean energy transition. However note the socialism proponents are leveraging the climate change agenda to destroy the current energy industry NOW. It has nothing to do with climate change, and everything to do with socialism.
