People believe that it's all under control and the fed has their back ie. lift rates to 1% and pop her back in the bottle.
The Feds got nothing left but words at least in gfc they could lower rates in a slow downs.
Almost everyone thought it was transitory and base effects would kick in and kill inflation but now they're wondering wtf just happened 7.5% !
Lacy was screaming deflation from the hill tops "it's all about velocity"? nah turns out it's all about money supply and to much chasing to few...
We'll have to wait and see the end game mmt and how it plays out...
