Gold in 1973 was $106.43. Inflation adjusted to 2022 that is $1,119.58. Currently worth $2000
House in Sydney was $27,400 in 1973. Inflation adjusted to 2022 is $290,000. Currently $1.4m.
Based on those numbers houses definitely look superior, but there are other holding costs which shouldn't be ignored for houses which will bring the numbers closer together.
Additionally, they year you pick can make a significant difference, which as Skolly always does, he picked years that certainly make property look even more superior
