Realestate is probably the best and safest long term investment in Australia, the thing usually only goes up, except for a few years, so long as you avoid the rough towns, I think it could get pretty inflated like the UK, but maybe not as extreme. The best thing one can do with a large sum of money is buy property imo instead of getting an EV, hehehe.
Gold is the 2nd safest imo, usually stays pretty strong through the good and bad times, but one costs more to hold than the other.
