What's changed? It's the same gold, melted & poured in the same way. The gold bar didn't change, but the
amount of currency in circulation did.
Same with houses, a fibro house in 1960's could have been bought for $20K vs that same house today would cost $1M plus. What's changed? It's the same house, but the
currency in circulation has increased.
You're using a
debased currency to buy the same two asset classes, houses & gold, & that's what causes the change in value. Plus, there's supply & demand to take into consideration as well.
Inflation is the expansion of the currency supply, not rising prices!!
